Bibb Sheriff’s Office asking for public’s help to find suspect from Poplar Street Homicide


They say the suspect was wearing glasses, a ball cap, a green shirt that possibly says “Hilton Head Island Bike Shop”, denim jeans and black shoes.

MACON, Ga. — The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help locating a suspect from a homicide that happened near an intersection on Poplar Street and Second Street in downtown Macon back on Sunday May 26.

59-year-old Albert Knight was found dead on Sunday morning just before 12 p.m. with blunt force trauma to his head. He was found in an alleyway off First Street Lane.

In a release, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said the suspect was wearing glasses, a ball cap, a green shirt which possibly says “Hilton Head Island Bike Shop” in white letters, denim jeans and black shoes.

They included a video of the man in the release, seen walking down the alleyways of downtown before the homicide.
