Missing Laurens County man found on Lake Sinclair, identified as retired veteran



Jeremy Bernard Williams, 45, was last seen around 9 a.m. on Sunday, according to reports.

PUTNAM COUNTY, Ga. — UPDATE: Search crews found the body of a Laurens County man near Lake Sinclair, according to Hancock County Coroner Dontrelle Andrews.

He says the body of Jeremy Bernard Williams, 45, was found alongside his boat trailer and truck on the Hancock County side of Lake Sinclair.

Lieutenant Bubba Stanford from the Department of Natural Resources says searchers also found Williams’ bass boat on the Putnam County side of Lake Sinclair.

Williams was last seen around 9 a.m. on Sunday, according to reports.

The cause of death has not been determined yet, Andrews says. Williams is being taken to the GBI Crime Lab in Atlanta for an autopsy.
