Some drizzle linger into the night
Small rain chances stick around for the weekend, but very scattered, unlike Wednesday’s widespread showers.
MACON, Ga. — Tonight will be similar to last night, as the skies will be partly cloudy with a chance of a light drizzle. It will also be a very warm night with temperatures around the mid-60s.
The weekend still hangs on to that tropical moisture just a tad, creating a chance of scattered light showers on Saturday and Sunday. Having the umbrella handy will be a wise choice if you have to duck and dodge a sprinkle or two for any outdoor plans this weekend. However, as we head into the end of the weekend, another wedge tries to build in to push some drier air in to possibly inhibit those rain chances.
A series of fronts will highlight the first look at next week right now. One looks to move in on Monday to bring some scattered rain potential here, and another later in the work week which looks to be a more impressive rainmaker as of now. We’ll continue to monitor this over the next couple of days, but towards the end of next week, we look to usher in some cooler and drier air knocking highs back closer to the 70-degree mark and lows back down into the 40s for some more Fall-like weather.
