Another day of slightly less impressive rain chances
Another day of slightly less impressive rain chances
Temperatures are just below or around average, but will be feeling a couple degrees warmer with our humidity sticking around.
We remain in a pattern where we aren’t seeing any large-scale weather systems impact our forecast. Southwest flow from the Gulf continues to create a humid environment across central Georgia, but similar to yesterday, rain chances still aren’t as impressive as they were over the weekend. So another afternoon and evening of isolated showers and storms is the story for some, but more areas will remain dry than not.
For Wednesday, rain chances start to increase in terms of coverage area. So if you’ve been holding out for the rain, Wednesday through Friday are the best shots at getting a shower or storm.
Highs remain in the low to mid 90s the next 3 days, but will flirt with the triple digits in areas that get plenty of sunshine. Many places will not climb to the high temperatures that are forecasted, but places that dodge the rain will.
Rain chances decrease slightly again for the weekend and beginning of next week due to disagreement in the longer-range models. We could possibly see a backdoor front move in from the northeast towards the end of the weekend that could usher in some drier air from the Appalachian Mountains, which would be good for students starting back school early next week. This is something we’ll be keeping a close eye on throughout this week.
