Perry man charged with arson in connection to July 8 fire, police say
The Perry resident has been charged with multiple crimes in addition to arson, according to the report.
PERRY, Ga. — The Perry Police Department arrested a man in connection with a structure fire on July 8, according to a release from the department.
The release says they arrested Keith Hutchison who has been charged with arson. Hutchison, a Perry resident, is also facing charges of cruelty to children, reckless conduct, criminal damage to property and insurance fraud, according to the release.
Per the report, Hutchison started a fire on the 200 block at Shoshone Circle in Perry around 1:00 p.m. The Fire Department responded to the fire, and began an investigation to find out the cause.
They say Hutchison was living at the residence set on fire, but tax records show that he was not the owner.
The release says investigators determined that the fire was intentionally started, and have arrested Hutchison for arson. No one was injured in the fire, and the fire department was able to extinguish the flames with minimal damage.
