A fantastic Friday on tap for football and weekend plans!
MACON, Ga. — We’re keeping our eye on the low temperatures this morning as the record low for August 23rd is 59 set back nearly 100 years ago in 1930. A couple areas look to touch those upper 50s by sunrise. This unusually cool morning for August will set the stage for a great Friday afternoon and evening for football with little to no rain along with highs in the mid 80s that actually feel accurate of temperatures with dry air settling in.
Saturday looks to be very similar to today, with a slightly better sprinkle chance the farther south and east you live. This is where we look to see a rebound in the humid air. This will also be a great day to be outside with highs in the upper 80s.
After that, we’re back to the 90s on Sunday and the temperature increase continues into the upper 90s by midweek next week. Once again, a slim 10% chance of a sprinkle is possible.
Models are showing almost entirely no rain at all for next week, but a small sprinkle is possible if anything everyday as the humidity will slightly rebound. It’s a dry stretch that comes at a great time as we are not under any drought conditions anymore and after a very active weekend last weekend.
