Man dead, another injured after deadly Friday night car accident in north Macon



The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened around 10 p.m. Friday on Rivoli Drive.

MACON, Ga. — A man is dead and another is injured after a Friday night car accident in north Macon.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says it happened around 10 p.m. Friday on Rivoli Drive near Rivoli Ridge Drive. They say a man driving a Honda Civic left the road, then hit several trees and a fence.

According to their news release, the driver and passenger, 31-year-old Devan Fishback, went to Atrium Health Navicent for treatment. While the driver is still recovering, Chief Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley says he pronounced Fishback dead just before 2 p.m. Saturday.

The sheriff’s office says they’re still investigating the deadly accident. They ask anyone with information to call their office at (478) 751-7500.
