24-year-old man dead after hit and run in east Macon, sheriff’s office says
The incident happened around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday
MACON, Ga. — A man is dead after a hit an run in north Macon on Sunday, according to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office press release.
The release said Jaxon Bilbrey, 24, was found dead on Emery Highway near Lexington street around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday.
The release added when Bibb County deputies arrived at the scene, Bilbrey was found hit and killed by an unknown vehicle. The Bibb County coroners office contacted next of kin.
Bilbrey was transported to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s crime lab for an autopsy.
