A weekend to keep the umbrella handy
MACON, Ga. — As we kick off the weekend, tropical moisture continues to hang out with us and provide the fuel for some on and off showers throughout the next few days. Today will be similar to yesterday, where we will have some pockets of steadier rain, and other areas will see on and off light rain throughout the day. A few thunderstorms will be possible as well. Rain chances will be best west of I-75 and south of I-16, but showers are possible in all counties today.
Sunday will be a similar story, and the moisture sticks around to start off the work week as well, but rain chances begin to decrease as we head into Monday. Drier air will hopefully begin to filter in on Tuesday and Wednesday, decreasing rain chances and finally allowing for some clear skies in the later part of the week. As clouds begin to clear throughout the week, high temperatures will begin to find the mid to upper 80s once again, but our overnight lows should drop into the lower to mid 60s. Hoping for a much drier week ahead!
