Man dead after shooting on Ibex Street in Macon, sheriff’s office says
The sheriff’s office says it happened near the intersection of Ibex Street and Chappell Street around 8:40 p.m.
MACON, Ga. — A man is dead after a shooting near the intersection of Ibex Street and Chappell Street in Macon, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
According to a news release, they got a call around 8:40 p.m. Sunday about a person shot on the 400 block of Ibex Street. When deputies got there, they found a man, 28-year-old Deundrae Gay, unresponsive with a gunshot wound.
Paramedics came to treat him, but the sheriff’s office says Gay died from his injuries. The sheriff’s office is investigating what led up to the shooting.
