Suspect in custody after armed robbery at convenience store in East Macon, per sheriff’s office
They say the robbery happened around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday.
A man has been arrested in connection with the armed robbery of a convenience store in East Macon, according to a press release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
They say Willie Ontonio Sparks, 20, was taken into custody near the 3300 block of Finneydale Drive. Sparks has been transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center, per the report, and he has been charged with aggravated assault, armed robbery and kidnapping.

They say the robbery happened around 1:30 p.m. at the Lucky Food Mart on Jeffersonville Road.
According to the sheriff’s office, the suspect entered the gas station with a gun, and proceeded to threaten the clerk and demand money. The report says he stole money from the store and then left on foot.
He was dressed in all dark clothing, with a black puffer jacket and a black and white skull ski mask. He was wearing blue gloves.
The sheriff’s office is now looking for the suspect.
